David and Amy Bethea, long-time members of the NE Oklahoma homeschooling community tragically lost their son Joe Bethea on August 27, 2025. Joe was a part of the Owasso Classical Conversations Community from the time he was 3 years old until he graduated in April 2025. Joe was a leader among his peers. His enthusiasm was contagious. His antics and joy made community days exciting and filled with laughter. Amy was a foundational leader in the Owasso CC Community, tutoring and directing throughout their years of homeschooling. She remains a mentor, organizer, connector, and forever friend to many of our families. As a community, we would like to love, support, and encourage our dear friends during this incredibly difficult time. We know that this grief will not end in a week or a month. This page is created to offer The Bethea Family love, kindness, and care for as long as possible.
We are looking to provide weekly prayer calls and meals 3 times a week through October and then once per week through December. If you are not able to drive out to Claremore, consider a cooking a meal and dropping it off to Anne Nelson on Tuesday in Owasso, she will make sure it gets delivered.
