Dear friends and family, We are rallying around Loraine and Cecil during a deeply challenging time. Loraine was recently diagnosed with a very aggressive tumor that required urgent surgery at MUSC in Charleston. As her surgeon put it, "She had the biggest surgery a girl could have." Loraine endured an extensive procedure, during which she lost her left kidney, spleen, part of her pancreas, some small bowel, and part of her colon. Her strength is truly remarkable—but her road to recovery will be long and difficult. At the same time, many of you know that Cecil is living with dementia, which brings its own daily challenges. With Loraine coming home from the hospital, healing from such an intense surgery while also caring for Cecil is understandably overwhelming. This is where we can step in. Providing meals is one simple, powerful way we can show our love and lighten the load for this family. Whether you’re near or far, your help—through a warm meal, a kind note, or a simple act of support—means the world. Let’s surround them with the comfort of community and the care they so deeply deserve. With gratitude, Their Whole Family
