Backing Up Stew & Lisa

Trumbull, CT

W
Story

Stew recently had back surgery and has a significant recovery ahead of him. For the next several weeks, he’ll have restrictions on lifting, driving, and many of the everyday things that normally keep a busy household moving. While Lisa is home, she’s able to juggle a lot of it. But with school starting and Lisa heading back to work, they could use a few extra hands to help fill in the gaps while Stew continues to heal. This page is still a work in progress, and we’ll continue adding ways to help as we figure out what they need most. An Amazon wish list is coming soon, so please check back for updates!

Special Notes

• Meals: Please plan for 2 adults and 2 kids, with a little extra for lunch the next day if possible. Easy-to-reheat meals are ideal, and nothing too spicy or overly heavy. Stew’s doctor has recommended plenty of protein to support his recovery, but comfort food is always welcome too! • Containers: Disposable containers are greatly appreciated so there’s nothing to keep track of or return. • Drop-Off: Afternoon drop-offs work best unless you coordinate another time with Lisa. If no one answers, feel free to leave the meal outside and send a quick text. • Homemade Meals: Please include simple reheating instructions and the date the meal was prepared. • Pet Help: The family also includes their dog, Ella. If you sign up to lend a hand with Ella, Lisa and Stew can provide any instructions you’ll need. Most of all, every meal, ride, errand, and helping hand gives Stew more time to focus on healing and takes a little something off Lisa’s plate. Thank you for showing up for them and being part of their village. ❤️
