In late 2023, Coquetta was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. She was in a lot of pain, and unable to do normal household cooking and caring for her family of seven. After many months of severe affliction, she was started on a chemotherapy treatment, and responded well, for which we praise God. As of early 2026, she is now in complete remission, hallelujah!
