Loretta, my beautiful wife, had to be admitted to the hospital with a horrible infection in her spine. She underwent spinal surgery on 7/28 to help stop the infection from getting worse. The hospital discharged her home on 7/31 but she had to return on 8/3 by ambulance when our two teenage boys and I were unable to get her out of bed. Her legs work, but she’s dealing with a tremendous amount of pain beneath the incision site and is now experiencing debilitating muscle spasms and nerve pain. The new admission found a fracture at the base of where they operated on her spine. She’s been out from work for a few weeks and will probably not be able to return to her job. She has to put her whole life on hold for this and for the impending recovery. In the meantime, I’ve been by her side from the beginning. Our boys are at home, holding down the fort alone. I’m spending a lot of money on eating out for meals and I’m sending meals to our boys every other night (they have plenty of groceries in the house too). Our family would greatly appreciate any support to get us through these trying times.
We also accept Zelle if that’s easier, under email address: [email protected]. I have no idea right now how long we’ll be in the hospital, but people are welcome to visit! Please contact Jessica at (805) 587-2826 if you want to arrange a time to visit.
