Arlene is going through a serious health situation, and our family is doing everything we can to support her and Orv. Orv is spending all day at the hospital by her side and often doesn't eat much, if anything. He gets home late and is usually too tired to cook. Easy-to-heat meals or grab-and-go food he can toss in a cooler on his way out the door would help a lot. Simple and ready to go makes the biggest difference right now. If you've been part of Orv and Arlene's life, you already know how much they mean to us. Anything you can bring takes one thing off his plate.
Since Orv spends his days at the hospital, the best times for drop off are around 6pm/7pm. If another time is necessary you can coordinate with their granddaughter, Megan, who lives in the Valley. We're so grateful for every visit and meal — please know that a quick drop-off is completely fine and no pressure to stay and chat. Orv's days are long right now, so short visits (or just leaving something at the door) are just as appreciated as longer ones.
