Love for Debbi

West Hartford, CT

Story

Debbi found a lump next to her thyroid right before the 4th of July holiday and a few weeks later confirmed the thyroid cancer diagnosis. She is having a total thyroid removal as well as central and right modified radical neck dissection to remove those lymph nodes. Her surgery will be at Memorial Sloan Kettering (main hospital, 1275 York Avenue) on Monday 8/25 at 12:30pm. Sally, Sloan and AJ will be home on Tuesday evening and Debbi will be at the hospital anywhere from 1-5 nights. (Her mom and dad will stay with her the entire time and she is sending AJ home so that he can be there for Sloan’s first day of her SENIOR year!!). Debbi is so thankful to her friends and family for all of your love and support. AJ will give us updates the day of the surgery and although Debbi might have trouble speaking for the first few days, she would love texts from each of us as she recovers. Love: Kim, Monica and Anna
