Jonathan is living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease (CMT), a progressive genetic neurological disorder he inherited from his mother. CMT affects the peripheral nerves, slowly weakening the muscles in the legs, feet, hands, and arms, and causing significant pain, balance issues, and loss of mobility over time. Despite living with this condition his entire life, Jonathan has always been an incredibly hard worker. He has pushed through constant discomfort and physical limitations without complaint, determined to provide for his family and live as fully as possible. Over the years, he has also endured two major hip surgeries on top of the daily challenges CMT brings. In recent months, his condition has worsened significantly. He is now unable to walk and can barely stand. For someone who has always fought to stay independent and keep moving forward, this forced period of rest has been extremely difficult - not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Jonathan is currently on short-term disability, which covers only part of his usual income. With mounting medical expenses and reduced pay, the financial strain on their family has become overwhelming. Any support helps ease the burden and allows Jonathan to focus on what matters most right now: stabilizing his health, adapting to new limitations, and finding hope in the middle of a very hard season.
