Today, we are asking the Northwest Arkansas community to come together for someone who means so much to so many people. Janna Hines is undergoing breast cancer surgery today (May 21, 2026), and in the weeks ahead, she will be away from work as she focuses on healing, recovery, and spending precious time with her family. Anyone who knows Janna knows the kind of person she is. She is compassionate, hardworking, generous, and deeply loved. She and her family have poured kindness, encouragement, and support into the lives of countless people throughout our community, and now they are facing one of the most difficult seasons of their lives. As medical challenges arise, so do the overwhelming realities that come with them — lost income, household bills, meals, transportation, recovery expenses, and the emotional toll that cancer places on an entire family. Oasis would love to help ease some of that burden so Janna can focus on what matters most right now: healing. We are asking our Northwest Arkansas community to rally around the Hines family with prayers, encouragement, financial support, meals, and acts of kindness during this incredibly difficult time. To help organize support in a meaningful and practical way, we are using the Give In Kind platform, which allows people to contribute financially, sign up to help with meals and needs, and walk alongside the family throughout Janna’s recovery journey. Cancer does not just impact one person. It impacts spouses, children, parents, friends, coworkers, and entire support systems.
