The Vermeerch family means so much to so many people in our community. Their sweet baby, Merritt, has spent more than 8 weeks in the NICU and was recently transferred to Children’s as his care team continues working to find answers and determine what comes next. There are still many unknowns but one things for sure it’s simply the time to show up for them. They would never ask for help themselves. They are strong members of our community and are usually the ones giving their time, love and support to everyone else. We started this Give InKind page to give everyone an easy way to return some of that love. With the family living in Red Oak and traveling back and forth to Children’s in Omaha—all while caring for Boone, Marci, and Cam—there are plenty of practical ways we can help lighten the load. Whether it’s a meal, gas money, a gift card or another small act of kindness, every little bit allows them to focus more of their energy on Merritt and their family. Everyone needs a little extra support sometimes. This is our opportunity to surround the Vermeerch family with love and remind them were all here to help!
