Support Nita"s Breast Cancer Recovery and Care and Care

W
Story

Why We Started This Page: As many of you know, I was recently diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer. On November 11th, I will be undergoing my first surgery—a skin-sparing mastectomy. This is the first major step in a multi-stage treatment plan that will include a second surgery down the road. Because this recovery journey will span over several months, rest, pacing, and long-term support will be key. As someone who is self-employed and works a part-time job, this process will significantly impact my income. Being unable to travel or be on-premise for work during my recovery periods creates a real financial strain. So many wonderful friends and family have reached out asking how they can lend a hand, and this page was created to give everyone a single, central hub to check in, find updates, and offer support through every phase of this process.

Special Notes

What Support Is Most Helpful Right Now 🩷Food & Meal Gift Cards: In lieu of home-cooked meal drop-offs, digital gift cards for food delivery (UberEats, DoorDash, Grubhub) or local dining are most helpful! This gives us total flexibility during my recovery, allowing us to order exactly what fits my appetite and schedule on any given day. 🩷Financial Contributions: Direct monetary donations to help offset lost income, living expenses, and ongoing medical bills while I am unable to work on-site or travel. 🩷Grocery & Supply Gift Cards: Digital gift cards for Target, Instacart, or grocery stores make it simple to get necessary household items and recovery essentials delivered to the door. 🩷Errands & Support Tasks: Sign-ups on the Care Calendar for practical help, such as running local errands, light household tasks, or transportation to follow-up doctor appointments. Most of all, your continuous encouragement, warm thoughts, and love mean the world to me as November 11th approaches.🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
