Beury Meal Train

W
Story

We are extremely grateful for all the help and support that we have, and will receive, but we did just want to put out there that this is an additional way that we could be supported if you wanted to do so but didn't want to purchase a gift. As we have mentioned, we do have a baby registry on Amazon but since we already do have Elliott, and kept many things, we don't need as much and we are prepared to purchase those things on the registry. However, meals are a different story. I think with having a toddler at home, we aren't quite sure how we are going to be able to balance attention between both children, our sanity, and sleep, as well as quality time for mom and dad. This meal train would be the most beneficial way to help us and support us with the birth of Emerson, especially with that first 2 weeks post-surgery for myself, and a little after while trying to juggle a newborn, kindergarten, and cca (pretty much being a stay at home mom until I go back to work in March). I have some notes in with the requests but there's not really a lot I'm able to type there, so I'll put longer explanations here. With this website you are also able to contribute gift cards. Right now we have amazon, walmart and doordash as options, since those are the things we use the most. Groceries-- On the calendar, there are two spots for groceries per week-- I'll explain that. For the first part, we are more than capable of ordering Walmart pickup, but during that first two weeks (pick up once per week, usually Wednesday or Thursday), it may be a little difficult for us to do ourselves. So we are mostly just asking for someone to be able to pick up the order and bring it to our house. The first week (10/29, we will probably still be in the hospital, so whoever would pick this day, if anyone does, they would need to bring everything inside and put it away). As for the 2nd part of the groceries, we do not order fresh produce or meat from Walmart pick up (iykyk), so those items we would prefer they be shopped in-store by family/friends. A list can be provided and, of course, we can pay you back. However, if you are able to do a Walmart pickup, but not able to go inside and shop, let us know and we can just order through Walmart pickup. The Walmart we use is in Exeter on Perkiomen Ave. The Walmart in Wyomissing doesn't sell fresh meat or produce (dumb, I know). Lunches- Mostly for lunches we would order stuff through Walmart pickup, like frozen meals or frozen stuff (with Elliott I had a hotpocket and chips every day just because it was so easy). Another option for our lunches are leftovers, PB&Js or wraps, however, if maybe twice a week we could have a different option that was one of those, that would be amazing. Some different options could be (but not limited to) pizza, lunchmeat sandwiches, cheesesteaks, chinese, burgers, etc. Also, for whatever reason, the website won't like me change/update the descriptions on the calendar. All "Dinner" requests for 11:30 am - 12:30 pm are for Lunch, not Dinner. Dinners- This would be the most help for us, tbh. For some reason that end-of-the-day routine just seems like it will be the most grueling part of the day, maybe because by then I already know we probably will be exhausted (lol). Some different options could be, crockpot meals, dump & go meals, pasta or rice casserole dishes, pressure cooker meals-- really anything that doesn't require tons of effort or dishes. Again, we are so grateful for any and all help we will receive and cannot thank you all enough for all the help with this transition from a family of 3 to the family of 4 we have been trying so long to have. We are truly so happy and excited to be where we are right now, and we couldn't have done it without the support and help we receive from our family and friends.

Special Notes

Once Emerson is born, I shouldn't have to worry too much about watching my carbs/sugar (I may self-monitor but I shouldn't have any set in stone restrictions like during pregnancy). Kodi and I aren't too picky when it comes to food, we will eat whatever Elliott is a little kid so, ya know lol. If it's something he truly doesn't like, he can always have a PB&J.
