Meals and support for Angie and Family

W
Story

Thank you for being here A family very dear to me is living through every parent's worst nightmare. At 35 weeks pregnant with twins, Angie and Danny learned that their sweet baby boy's heart had stopped beating. Their baby girl is still growing and doing well, so Angie is now facing the unimaginable continuing her pregnancy while grieving the loss of one of her babies. Their hope is to safely keep baby girl growing until 39 weeks. At home, they have two beautiful little twin girls who still need their mom and dad for all the ordinary things that don't stop just because your world has fallen apart. Danny is the sole provider for their family. He's already had to miss work and will likely need more time away as they prepare to welcome their daughter while also saying goodbye to their son. Between frequent Maternal Fetal Medicine appointments, ultrasounds, blood work, and everything that lies ahead, this family has so much on their shoulders. If you know Angie, you know she would never ask for this herself. In fact, when meals were mentioned, her first response was worrying about being a burden to other people. She is not a burden. I created this page for Angie and Danny because no family should have to walk through something like this feeling alone. Sometimes we dont know how to help in such complex situations. Sometimes the greatest support we can give is taking worry off someone's plate whether that's dropping off a meal, helping with groceries, covering a tank of gas, or simply reminding them that they are surrounded by people who care. If you're able to help, thank you. Every bit of support no matter how small it may seem, gives this family a little more space to grieve, to love on their girls, and to focus on the days ahead. Thank you for helping wrap your arms around this family when they need it most.

Special Notes

Please read before signing up to help: - This family follows a 100% vegan diet, so all meals and snacks must be vegan. - Because of limited refrigerator and freezer space, we're hoping to space meals out to about 3-4 meals per week rather than every day. - Easy meals that don't require using the oven are especially appreciated during the summer months. - Toddler friendly vegan snacks are always welcome for their two little girls. - Grocery gift cards and gas gift cards are incredibly helpful, as they're making frequent trips to Maternal Fetal Medicine appointments, ultrasounds, blood work, and other medical visits. - Financial gifts of any size are appreciated and will help offset the lost wages and unexpected expenses. - Please respect the family's privacy. Visits should only happen if specifically arranged. - If you know of local resources for stillbirth, infant loss, bereavement care, CuddleCots, remembrance photography, grief counseling, or memorial keepsakes, please share them with the page organizer.
