Hi everyone, my name is Dariela, but I go by Dee, it's a lot easier to pronounce LOL. I'm a single mom of four and grandmother to one beautiful baby boy. All my children are grown except for Mila she's 14. I pretty much raised her on my own with the help of my late mother, may she rest in peace. Her father decided not to be a part of her life and so I've been mom and dad since she was a baby. It's been rough only because I can't work anymore, I'm a type 2 diabetic but the neuropathy keeps me from standing too long or sitting too long and walking far, I don't have a normal balance because I don't have feeling in my feet and legs, This is the reason why I started this page, I need help for her daily necessities as well as food, yes we get government assistance but sometimes it's not enough. I don't have a vehicle to get around so she's stuck at home with me 24/7 except for when she goes to school. Thank God there's a bus that picks her up a block away. At the moment she's in 8th grade heading into high School and that's where I need help. I will need help for uniforms, personal hygiene items and like I mentioned food as well. I was getting help from her social services director from school but she told me she's not qualified anymore, I don't understand that. I do make my own crafts to sell to make a little bit of money here and there but it's not enough.
