Thank you As many of you know, our dear friend Jordan recently suffered a terrible accident at work. After 6 long weeks in the hospital, undergoing multiple procedures and surgeries, he has been released to go home to continue to recover with his family. Jordan and Katie are the kind of people who never hesitate to serve others. Whether it’s Jordan volunteering to coach his sons’ sports teams or serving as a dedicated member of the Solomon’s Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department, or Katie faithfully serving as “Team Mom,” graciously juggling the responsibilities of the role while caring for her little boys—who could be found snuggled between their mama and her clipboard, climbing on her back or seeing just how close they could get to sneaking on the ball field before she caught them, and she is quick!—they are always the first to step up when help is needed. They generously give their time, energy, and hearts to our community, quietly touching countless lives without ever expecting anything in return. In the wake of this accident, the family has asked for only one thing—prayers. But as a community, we want to do what we can to lighten their burden and show them just how deeply they are loved. We’ve created this meal train page to help ease some of the day-to-day responsibilities as they navigate Jordan’s continued recovery. Whether you’re able to prepare a homemade meal, send a gift card for takeout, or arrange a food delivery, every act of kindness will be a tremendous blessing to their family. Most importantly, please continue to keep Jordan, Katie, and their boys in your prayers. Thank you for coming alongside this wonderful family and surrounding them with the same love, generosity, and support they have so freely given to so many others.
Dinners will be for Jordan, Katie, and their three young boys. You’ll receive delivery address/instructions after you select a date to help. *** Katie has Alpha-gal, which means she is allergic to mammal products (such as beef, pork, venison, lamb, and foods made from them). If you are preparing a meal for the whole family, please make sure Katie’s portion is free of mammal meat and mammal-derived ingredients. She can have light dairy. The rest of the family does not have any dietary restrictions and will appreciate anything you’re able to provide. Please respect the families privacy at this time by leaving meals in designated cooler on porch/by mailbox.
