Story

Beckett is a 12yo boy who loves sports, especially basketball & soccer. He loves to play the violin and most recently his ukulele & guitar. Beckett started having non-epileptic seizures in March 2026 while on a mission trip to Chicago & Wisconsin. He was diagnosed with Functional Neurologic Disorder a few days later. This diagnosis is hard to explain and to comprehend. Beckett faints multiple times a day. Most recently he is also having pain in his feet and legs. Sometimes his legs feel numb. FND is considered a rare disease and there is no cure. The best we can do is therapy to help him. There are not licensed therapists in the area Beckett needs in OK. In order to get the therapy Beckett needs we have to look outside of our insurance network. There are not FND clinics within Oklahoma. I have found a clinic in Birmingham that does Telehealth meetings. These meetings cost $400-$450 each. I have sent the preliminary application and have been accepted. Beckett will have FND for the rest of his life. We are grasping at straws to find ways to help him. Please pray for Beckett and for our family.
