A front porch is a place where neighbors gather, friends sit and talk, and families pause to rest at the end of a long day. The porch is where community happens. That's the heart behind Foster Front Porch support group. Foster and adoptive families carry both incredible joys and heavy challenges. Some days feel overwhelming, other days are filled with celebration. But no family should have to walk that journey alone. Our group meets monthly to share a meal, provide childcare, create space for encouragement and connection along with providing face-to-face training hour credits for foster parents. We want families to feel supported, heard, and reminded that they are not alone. When you sign up to bring a meal, volunteer with childcare, or pray for this ministry, you're helping us create that "front porch" -- a place of support, encouragement, and community for foster and adoptive families in our area.
Foster Front Porch support group is hosted at Bethany Christian Church in Washington, IN.
