My life long friend Krystal and her husband Mike are going through a really hard time. Mike was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and after more tests, they found that the cancer has spread to his colon, chest, and esophagus. The news has been devastating, and it has changed everything for their family. They were hoping for surgery, but with the cancer spreading so aggressively, treatment options have become very limited. Right now, neither of them are able to work. They are constantly traveling back and forth to the hospital for appointments and treatments and his wife Krystal is by his side every step of the way. The bills are piling up—hospital bills, prescriptions, and everyday expenses are becoming overwhelming. They are also raising two of their grand children, they are 10 and 12 years old. With Mike's cancer doctors being in St Louis, they are spending much more on gas just to get to the hospital and other medical appointments, while also paying for food, lodging and other essentials out of pocket. Life has become incredibly challenging, and the stress is taking a toll on both of them. I'm reaching out to ask for a little help to take some of the burden off their shoulders.
