W
Story

This last week Hollie and her family received the news no one wants to hear. Grade 4 glioma H3K27M. This is a highly aggressive, rapid-growing brain tumor classified by the WHO as a CNS Grade 4 tumor. Primarily occurring in children, it presents as a mutation in the histone H3 protein (H3K27M), leading to poor prognoses, with survival often ranging from 9 to 15 months depending on treatment. Hollie is not a candidate for surgery and this type of tumor does not react well to chemo so it is also off of the table. While radiation is an option there is also a possible new medication used in pediatrics that has shown some promise but there is still questions to how it will perform for adults. Hollie knows WHO holds her future and she has a peace in knowing He has a plan for her. If you are unable to provide a meal please consider sharing the meal train and most importantly praying for this family as they travel this road ahead. Thank you so much for supporting and loving on them.
