I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of June. I can't explain the immediate concerns I had, the hesitations, the overall stress and fear. The fight I knew was in front of me, and the questions and doubts that seemed to pile up quickly. I had no idea if I even had the strength it would require of me to fight. I have experienced more hardship and trauma than anyone should ever have to bear. I have been fighting my whole life to survive, to be relevant. To take up space and not apologize for it. Survival is a skill I wish I didn't need. Strength comes with its own curse, and resilience is something I wish I didn't know. BUT here I am. Tasked with another fight, another time I'll have to once again survive just to live. I'm a fighter, that I don't doubt. I'm not one to back from a challenge. And although I'm so incredibly tired, fighting is in my blood. It's ingrained into me like the veins that run through me. Giving up is not an option. And although I'm not the type to ask for help. This time I'm going to need it. I can't do this alone. I'm going to need all the support I can find. So, I started this page because some have asked how they can help, and in turn I'm learning how to accept the help and not feel guilty for needing it. I would be so grateful for your assistance with things like gas, sometimes transportation, food costs, and general care items. I'm also looking for comfort items I can use on my travels, during appointment wait times, and treatments. Any personal care gift cards or store-use gift cards such as Walmart, Walgreens, Target, Amazon, and others would be greatly appreciated. After my upcoming surgery and during my treatments, I will be limited, and traveling to the store for personal needs, home essentials, groceries, and things of that nature will be difficult. Any assistance you can provide in these areas is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.
No restrictions at this time. I will post more as I learn what my treatment plan will be. Thank you!!
