Hello all! I have started this page for support for Sara during Darrell’s intensive care for his life threatening injuries. Darrell was in a terrible motorcycle accident on February 16, 2026. He was flight for life to the hospital where he is currently being treated for his severe injuries that consist of severely bruised and partially collapsed lung, chemical burn in his lung, several broken bones in his back that will require surgery to be fixed, traumatic brain injury, an orbital fracture (bone above his eye), and a broken neck. With all that being said Darrell is on full life support for his lungs and body to get the rest it needs. He also has to be on dialysis due to a dip in his kidney numbers. Because of his condition he’s in a no visitors status. Even with no visitors allowed Sara drives 96 miles round trip every single day to be with her husband. Most of her time is spent in the waiting room awaiting updates from his care team. Sara is unable to stay at the hospital or in the vicinity of the hospital every night as she has dogs at home who need her too. With that being said gas, groceries, dog food, bills, etc. are going to start piling up and any support you can offer is greatly appreciated. This is a very difficult time to navigate and Sara is so appreciative of all support that’s been sent their way.
