Support for Emily & Family during Cancer Treatment

Story

Emily, a 36 year old mother of 4, has recently been diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Grade 3. Emily has Breast Cancer. This is the most common type, but the grade 3 means it’s growing quicker. Due to that, and the fact that Emily is BRCA 1 positive and the fact that it’s triple negative she will need more aggressive treatment. Since there are lymph nodes that are abnormal, those may also need to be biopsied. And if positive, would also require more aggressive treatment. With this need for aggressive treatment, Emily will start her Chemo treatments in 2 weeks that will last through the next 20 weeks. Emily is a stay at home mother to 4 children, her youngest being 2. Her husband Matt, just started a new job in June and doesn’t qualify for FMLA to help Emily. Her treatments are going to be hard on her especially chasing around a toddler, caring for her children in general is going to be a struggle as she gets sick from her treatments. She’s scared. She and her husband don’t have much family to help through this trying time. If you can- please help with a meal, a gift card, a door dash, maybe some cleaning- anything that can help get through the days so her energy can be spent loving on her children and fighting her cancer.
