On January 14th, 2026, Betsey had open heart surgery at Englewood Hospital. She returned home on January 20th and is making great progress but her cardiologist expects that she will need help for the next 4-6 weeks. Betsey is so loved by her family, friends and wider community and many of you have asked how you can help her during her recovery. We set up this site as a simple way to share our needs and give others an opportunity to help in practical ways such as visiting and helping her with things she can't do during this time or driving to appointments. Providing a meal or a gift card would be a huge blessing as we focus on her healing. Due to the surgery, Betsey isn’t allowed to lift or reach so please provide the meals in containers that can be microwaved. Please also review other meals being delivered to ensure there is some diversity in the food she receives. We are currently planning for 6 weeks of meals and will update and add to this as needed. Betsey doesn’t have any specific restrictions, but meals should be heart healthy and not high in sodium.
