Help Melissa Huddleston and her family out in these uncertain times. On January 4th 2026, Melissa began slurring her words and having brain fog. This is the second time it has happened and she has been seeing a neurologist. She went to Legacy Mount Hood emergency room where she was told that because her blood work was fine and she was not falling over, she should just go home. Late January 6th or early January 7th the problem worsened a lot and after being unable to contact her neurologist she went to OHSU emergency room. They have run test after test and finally found a blood in her carotid artery. So she will be having surgery January 9th and will likely be in the hospital for about a week and recovering for about month. She is the dinner cook for herself, her husband, her adult daughter, and almost adult son. Breakfast and Lunch are not a problem but if they can get some help with dinners it would be greatly appreciated.
