If you knew Mark, you knew someone who was genuine, accepting, kind, and fiercely protective of the people he loved. Reading through all of the messages and memories people have shared, it’s clear how many lives he touched and how deeply he impacted everyone who knew him. Mark had the biggest heart. He always put everyone else first, often at the expense of himself. He never hesitated to help family and friends, and somehow always found the energy to be there for others—even when he was carrying burdens no one else could see. He loved deeply, protected fiercely, and deserved so much more than the weight he carried. We’re heartbroken. The emotions are impossible to put into words—grief, anger, sadness, confusion, guilt. We will miss our brother every single day. If you think you hugged your loved ones tightly enough the last time you saw them—you didn’t. If you think you’ve said “I love you” enough—you haven’t. Life can change in the blink of an eye, and sometimes the people who seem like they’re doing better are still fighting battles we cannot see. Hold your people tight. Say the things you want to say without hesitation. Check on them. Connect with them. Love them. You were an amazing person, Mark. We love you and always will.
