After multiple hospitalizations, Tara Hill was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach and liver cancer. This is a diagnosis that no-one wants to hear but Tara has approached it with the same determination that has allowed her to expertly balance being a mother of 4 very active daughters while still being a dedicated EMS professional. Despite trying to treat with chemo, this cancer has proven to be very aggressive and now the focus has turned to keeping her comfortable. Her husband Geoff has taken leave from work to be with her and their girls. So many of us have been touched by the Hill family and Tara specifically. I have created this page as a way to coordinate efforts to show support for Tara and her family. Geoff actually loves cooking for his girls but with busy wrestling season getting ready to start they felt that receiving a meal a week might be very helpful. They are not however, picky about which day of the week. This page required that I put a physical date in for each week but just know that it doesn't HAVE to be THAT day. Just text MJ Loar at 816-589-1589 and let me know which actual day that week you would like to supply a meal and I will coordinate with the family. This page will also allow you to provide them with gift cards for groceries or restaurants electronically or if you prefer to buy a physical gift card you can mail them to the Hills at the address listed or again contact MJ and I will handle getting it to them.
There are no food allergies but the family does not care for bell peppers or large amounts of black pepper. Drop off location and time for meals is between 5pm to 7pm at 1629 N Rogers St. Independence, MO 64050
