Help Hilary Heal: Surgery & Recovery Support

Vancouver, WA

Story

Hello beautiful friends, family, and community, Due to uterine fibroids, pelvic organ prolapse, and suspected endometriosis, I’ll be undergoing a hysterectomy and pelvic organ repair on December 16th, 2025. This is a major surgery that will require significant recovery time and support. During this period, I won’t be able to sing or teach for about 8-12 weeks, which makes it challenging since both are significant parts of my income and sense of purpose. I also won’t be able to lift more than 10 pounds for 6–8 weeks, which means I’ll need help with many basic life tasks while I heal. In addition to lost income, I’m already facing substantial medical expenses from diagnostics and ongoing care, and the surgery itself will add to those costs. It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but I’ve been gently reminded that community care is an act of love and strength, not weakness. I’m learning to lean into that truth and open myself to receiving support. If you’d like to help, there are several ways to do so: ❤️ Donate – to help cover medical costs, care costs, and lost income during recovery ❤️ Sign up for meals – or send easy-to-heat foods ❤️ Offer practical help – such as dog walking, light cleaning, or errands ❤️ Purchase from my Amazon Wishlist – for comfort and recovery supplies Every contribution, gesture, and word of encouragement means so much. Thank you for helping me through this time with care, kindness, and compassion. With gratitude, Hilary
