Hello everyone, I wanted to share an important update about my sister, Ashley McGee, owner of Sweet Peas Sourdough. On July 21, 2025, at just 40 years old, Ashley underwent a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer. We are so proud of how strong and brave she has been through this journey. 💪 Just recently, we received the difficult news that Ashley will now need to undergo four months of chemotherapy, followed by hormone therapy and reconstruction. This unexpected next step means she will continue to be unable to work, which is placing a heavy burden on her and her family. Ashley, her husband Danny, and their young daughters have been deeply touched by the love, prayers, and encouragement from friends, family, and the community over the last few months.
