Nourish the Conger Family

Dexter, MI

Story

As Chelsea undergoes treatment for breast cancer (see update above for details), daily life for the Conger family will continue at full speed. Freddie, Frankie and Teddy have school and travel sports, and Dave will be managing preschool assistants and running Warm Fuzzies, and also coaching both 5th and 7th grade travel basketball teams. Chelsea will be dealing with treatments, appointments, surgeries, and giving this battle everything she has. They need our help! Chelsea’s tentative chemo start date is January 2nd. A big way we all can support them is by dropping off meals. Providing dinners or sending a gift card will help simplify one small part of their lives during this complicated time. Every contribution lightens the load: it gives the family one less decision to make, a little more time together, and the space to focus on healing and being present for one another. Whether you cook, shop, or give, your help will make a difference. Thank you for surrounding Chelsea, Dave, Freddie, Frankie, and Teddy with love and support! ❤️

Special Notes

For meals: - No shellfish or veal - No pork for Chelsea and the boys; Dave enjoys it! The Congers love yummy, comfort foods such as: Beef/chicken/turkey/fish, pastas, soups/stews, pizza, casseroles, stirfries, roasts, tacos, salads, chicken tenders, burritos, nachos, wings, cheeseburgers, crockpots, etc. Per Chelsea, "nothing too crazy or adventurous." Dinners should be dropped off around 6:30pm in the cooler that will be on the side porch. For ease, please drop off meals in disposable containers or be sure any reusable containers are clearly labeled with your name in a manner that can't easily be removed (ie, no post-it type labels). If you’d like to send a gift card, the Congers enjoy WingsnThings, Food Zone, Cottage Inn, Mama’s Mercantile, and The Grateful Crow
