Shep was diagnosed with liver cancer April 2024. For the next several months, he underwent chemotherapy and radiation. When treatment wasn’t enough, he was referred to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona for a new transplant program, and in November, he received the life-changing news that he qualified. Shep has now undergone his liver transplant (praise God!) and is currently recovering in Arizona with Veronica, their son Ethan, and their baby, Salvador. Because of the medical requirements, Shep must remain in Arizona with a full-time caregiver for 4–6 weeks, which means the family is unable to work during this time. They are doing everything they can to steward their resources, but the costs of housing, transportation, and daily needs are significant, especially while still maintaining their home in Post Falls. As a church, we want to surround them with prayer, love, and practical support so they can focus on Shep’s healing. Below are specific needs that we can collectively help meet. Every gift, big or small, genuinely lifts a weight off this family and reminds them they’re not walking this road alone. Thank you for showing up with generosity, compassion, and prayer for the Shepherd family during this crucial time.
