Story

Dear Family, Friends & Neighbors~ Liz needs our support! She is facing a life-threatening illness and is 99% housebound and unable to work. As her twin sister, caregiver and fierce advocate, I spend my days helping her connect with doctors, make appointments, drive to appointments, fill out forms and navigate the medical/ health insurance system which has been incredibly frustrating and overwhelming. We are physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted... and I have very little energy to prepare us the healthy meals that we need to keep ourselves nourished. We are very grateful for our parents and a few close friends and neighbors who have been supporting us, but it has come time to humbly ask for additional help. If you know Liz personally, then you've been blessed to experience how she lovingly and caringly connects with, advocates for and supports her loved ones and her community. I am devastated that she is facing this chronic health crisis, but I am encouraged by all of the ways that we can come together to support her! THE WAYS THAT YOU CAN HELP: (1) If you are local to the Farmington, CT area, you can drop off a meal! (Please see the calendar, below, for all of the details.)
