Barry Wayne Long, 66, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on January 16th, 2026. Barry served in the United States Air Force where he met the love of his life, Kathy. Together, they had 10 children. He loved his job working for Tulsa Community College as a Senior Academic Advisor, helping future and current students plan their studies. While on the weekends, he enjoyed many date nights with his wife. His love for fishing was one of the many passions he had, always making time to fish at Bears Pond in Cowden. He was an avid Cubs, Bears, and Illini fan for his whole life. He will always be remembered as a beloved Papa to his grandkids that he visited and facetimed often. Surviving him are his wife, Kathy Long of Tulsa, OK; children: Debbie Brooks and husband, Jeff, of New Zealand, Josiah Long and wife, Denise, of Vinita, OK (Army Veteran); Becki Long of Thomson, GA(Air Force Veteran); James Long of Wrightstown, WI(Army Veteran); John Long(United States Army) of North Beach, MD; Benjamin Long and fiancé, Katie, of Appleton, WI; Samuel Long of North Beach, MD; Matthew Long of Appleton, WI; and Christina Campbell and husband, Samuel(United States Navy), of North Chicago, IL. Grandchildren: Naiyah Long(18 years), Nyla Anderson (15 years), Maverick Long (7 years), Lucy Long (3 years), Dominic Long (3 years), Joseph Brooks (6 years), Stevie Campbell (4 years), Tatum Campbell (2 years), and Levi Long (3 months). He is preceded in his death by his son, Stephen Long, his dad, Jack Long, and his brother, Mike Long.
