NICU medical expenses/ home living

W
Story

On April 13th we gave birth to a sweet baby girl who unfortunately had to be air cared to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. When Aria was born they stated that she was struggling to breathe on her own and was placed on oxygen. A feeding tube was also placed in her nose. She still cannot breathe without the oxygen but we are lowering the liters every few days and she is finally learning how to eat on her own but it is VERY hard for her because she is learning how to breathe, eat, and suck at the same time. She is still using the feeding tube but also getting a little better at eating on her own as well. I have been in the nicu every single day since I got discharged from Margret Mary and I refuse to leave her side as I breast feed and supply her milk all around the clock. I thank god every day that she isn’t the sickest baby in the NICU but she is still sick and we all are learning how to adjust to life as I don’t get to see my other two kids very often & I don’t get to see my partner eaither. My partner is also not working at the moment as he has to stay home with the other kids, and try to keep them happy and healthy. The kids miss me more than anything and all of this is so overwhelming, we’re trying to find hotels that are cheaper but close to the hospital so that they can come see us more often & Austin can possibly work day shift for a few hours just to get something in his pockets. Anyways we ask for prayers during this very difficult time as none of us expected this at all. I sit and cry but i thank god everyday for keeping us all strong. If everyone could just keep praying for our family it would be greatly appreciated.
