Billie has discovered an uninvited house guest in her sigmoid colon (quickly named "Carla the Colon Cancer"). Carla has received her eviction notice and will be removed by force and the hands of a skilled physician on November 18th, 2025 at the Essentia hospital on 32nd Avenue in Fargo. Unexpectedly, Billie became aware of this cancerous squatter in her colon at the end of October after a wild bout of anemia. After the surprise 6-centimeter mass is removed from her sigmoid colon, she will spend the week in the hospital recovering until about November 22 (fingers crossed it happens that soon, if not sooner). During the last week of November, we're hoping Billie can return home to her condo downtown to recover with her beloved doggo, Millie (the sweetest, goodest, bestest girl). Then, Billie and Millie will need to stay another week at home at least. This required rest time due to Carla the Colon Cancer's eviction will keep Billie from her desk in Drekker's marketing department for a solid chunk of time (and she's going to be bored and missing her Drekker crew something fierce). After she recovers from the forceful removal, she'll then meet with an oncologist who will decipher if Carla left behind any poisonous belongings that require additional treatment. At that time, Billie will learn what "grade" Carla received (AKA the official stage of the colon cancer). Despite Carla, Billie is a glittering, goofy gem that brings joy to her friends and family. She's a little sister, a stellar auntie, a great friend, girlfriend and dog mom. Screenprinting and things like trying to learn how to complete a crochet granny square give heart-eye emojis to her soul. She's a cheerleader for the community and you'll find her at the next local roller derby meet as soon as the season starts up again (go FM Derby Girls!). But in the meantime, Billie needs her community to rally around her through donating funds, food or just raising awareness. - - - ** To see further updates from Billie on her Journey, please following her page on CaringBridge: (Link Below) https://www.caringbridge.org/site/2296717d-cd4a-11f0-b9ac-bb49ed438559?utm_source=website_share&utm_medium=share_button&utm_term=&utm_content=link_share_button&utm_campaign=private_home_page
