On November 19, the lives of my sweet niece and her family were forever changed. Starting with leg pain that sent her home from school and sent her to NCH where she was admitted. She underwent 2 different MRIs, an ultrasound and finally a double bone marrow biopsy and one of a place on her leg. All of this has led to the diagnosis of cancer with spots on her scalp, lymp nodes in breasts, kidneys, ovaries and left leg. Doctors are specifically thinking Burkitt's lymphoma. Currently we are waiting the final results from the biopsies for a stage and official treatment plan. Monday November 24 she will be going in the OR for port placement so chemo can begin. We are looking at a month or more in the hospital depending on how treatments go. On top of this in the last 90 days Bella's older brother Brock has been diagnosed as an epileptic and my brother has lost his job. To say our family is reeling is an understatement. We know that God has His arms wrapped around them all, but we are asking for support and prayers. Korenne is still having to work since she is the only income rather be with her kid. My hope is to help lesson some of the stress so the focus can be on not just Bella but the whole family. The Gialluca's are close and tough, and our God is so good. Gift cards for food, gas, etc are appreciated. Once we have a definite treatment plan I will post a schedule for meal train scheduling.
