Well you all know the story. I have advanced state 3 endometrial cancer. It was quite a suprise! I’ll make it but it’s too much to do on my own. I need a village. Especially since I’m already living with a brain Iinjury. The fatigue from cancer has already set in. And chemo hasn’t even started yet - first infusion is this Friday 10/23.
On chemo, I will be particularly susceptible to foodborne illnesses. And I won’t really have an immune system to fight anything. So I can only eat foods that are cooked or that are processed. Nothing raw, from a deli, from fast food or takeout. Vegetables need to be well scrubbed. So think, stews, soups, casseroles. But also think of my husband who can eat anything. He’s gone 12 hours a day and isn’t much of a cook so he will be happy with any help as well.
