It's hard to imagine one day being in the thick of life, raising three kiddos, and then one parent falls ill, let alone the second parent a few short months after. Brittany and Jay Vesich are two of the most amazing humans I've ever been lucky enough to know and I'm so blessed to call them friends. In October 2024 Brittany ended up in the ER diagnosed with transverse myelitis. She handled it like the rockstar that she is. But life is not the same for her. Even though she has handled it with grace and humor, the daily struggle is still there. She rocks out in her wheel chair and has recently gotten her handle control drivers license. She is literally the strongest person I know and nothing short of amazing. A few months ago, jay was diagnosed with oropharyngeal cancer which has unfortunately spread to the lymph nodes as well. Jay has been receiving chemo and radiation. Today he had a PEG tube placed so he can receive nutrition and medication. The journey ahead is going to be long, but hopefully we can shower them with nothing but love and support like we did last time so they can focus on Jays treatments. If you cannot donate financially, offer up as many prayers to the big guy upstairs as you can!
