Hello, my name is Deana and I am reaching out for help during an incredibly difficult time for my family. As a single mother of two beautiful children—my 6-year-old son, who is medically complex and has developmental disabilities, and little daughter—I am facing an immediate financial crisis.Recently, my son’s SSI benefits were temporarily cut without warning. We heavily depended on this income to cover the gaps in his daily care. While his health insurance does cover some of his medical needs, it does not cover everything he requires. A significant amount of his daily incontinence and G-tube supplies must be paid for completely out of pocket. Before the cut, his SSI was what kept us afloat, paying for those out-of-pocket medical necessities and putting groceries on our table.Because of this sudden loss of income, I am unable to come up with our rent this month and we are now facing the terrifying reality of eviction. Keeping a stable, safe, and clean home is vital for my children, especially given my son's complex medical needs and daily routines.I am raising funds to cover our immediate housing costs to prevent eviction, secure the medical supplies that insurance won't cover, and ensure I can buy groceries for my children until his benefits are restored.Any amount you can give will directly protect my family and keep us housed.
