Our Chamiza community is coming together to support Marianita and her family during a difficult time. Marianita recently lost her beloved father after his courageous year-long battle with cancer. As she shared, he was her hunting and fishing partner, the person she called when life felt hard, and someone who could always make her smile. While his passing leaves a deep loss, there is comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and is now at peace. Marianita is a deeply valued Educational Assistant at Chamiza and a caring presence in the lives of so many students and staff. Now it’s our turn to surround her with the same care and kindness she gives every day. Providing a meal is one small way we can help ease daily responsibilities and allow Marianita to spend time with her loved ones and focus on healing.
