Thank you so much for helping support our family while I'm in recovery! I'll be getting the L4 and L5 vertebra in my lower spine fused. We will need the most care in the first two weeks after surgery, and then probably two more weeks depending on how recovery is going. I will not be able to bend, lift, or twist for 3 months, so we may need help even beyond that. Care Calendar: Our most frequent need is going to be prepared dinners or takeout that we can eat without needing to cook or clean up. We also need help transporting me and/or the kids, and things like dishes or sweeping are also helpful. When I'm up for visitors I'd love some company as well. I'm setting this up so that as I figure out what else we may need, I can put it up on the calendar and someone can claim it. Please just sign up for whatever you're available for - even one meal makes a big difference for us. Crowdfunding: I may not be approved for the sick leave pool through my employer, which would put me on unpaid leave for 2 weeks or more. This would be absolutely devastating for us financially.
