Christina's Caca Chichi Coalition

Spring, TX

Story

I have just been diagnosed with a rare INFLAMMATORY BREAST CANCER. It took a month of appointments to confirm diagnosis. I do not know how long I have had it. I noticed a lump at the end of July. This type of cancer is very aggressive meaning it grows and spreads fast. In one month, it has grown from the size of a kiwi to a grapefruit. This type only takes weeks to go from Stage 0 to Stage III. It started in one of the milk ducts, then spread into the breast tissue, and has already entered into the lymph nodes. Further imaging will need to be done to see if it has spread into any other parts of my body. It did not appear on my mammogram a year ago. Once you realize you have it, specifically considering the size and lymph node involvement, it is already Stage III at least. This is obviously a scary and emotional time for our family. It has already been physically and financially straining for us and time-consuming. We are still in the first phase with treatment and surgery not yet defined or scheduled. We can only anticipate at this time how our lives will be impacted. I am permanently disabled already with a life-threatening condition. My husband works full-time and I receive social security disability. We do not receive any type of assistance. We do have a 9 year old daughter who attends school nearby. She does struggle with ADHD, depression, and anxiety as well as mood stability and emotional regulation. As a result of that, we have chosen not to share this news with her at this time. We ask everyone to respect that and not discuss specifics in her presence or when she is nearby in another room or while she is in the car with any of us. What we are hoping to get out of this page is a lot of help with our needs. We will be finding friends or family that can assist us with transportation to and from appointments. We might want help with local errands or shopping. We might want help with watching our child, taking her out for activities, or school pick-up and drop-off. We want people to consider she will be affected even if not knowing exactly what's happening. We want her to enjoy as much as she can, and she loves gifts. I will create an Amazon Wishlist for each of us (3). We are seeking assistance on ensuring meals are available daily. Food deliveries, freshly prepared meals, meals that can be frozen, or gift cards to eat out or buy groceries will be a huge help. We would love assistance with yard work and house cleaning. At times we might need help with feeding pets and cleaning litter boxes. Automatic feeders or litter boxes are welcomed. We will definitely need financial assistance to pay for secondary insurance, hospitalizations, surgeries, out-patient care, doctor appointments, treatments, prescriptions, fuel and parking. If my husband has to miss work, which we hope to avoid, or if our burden with medical expenses are too great we may need fin ancial assistance with paying bills, debts, and basic needs. We welcome all emotional support, prayers, prayer lists or circles, affirmations, sending good juju, sage burning, spells, crystal healing, herbal healing, sound healing, rain dances, crossing fingers and toes, dotting the i's, and anything that can get us through this and deliver positive outcomes. We depend on Allah but appreciate everyone's right to practice, believe, or feel that care about us or this situation. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
