Love for the Cheever Family

Story

"Love for the Cheever Family" supports Michelle and her three sons -- Ethan (11), Logan (8), and Grant (8) -- as they cope with the loss of their beloved husband and father, Nick Cheever. Nick passed away on Thanksgiving Day 2022, after living courageously with cancer for many years. He was an incredible parent, a treasured friend and coach, and Michelle's true soulmate. Let's rally around Nick's family through this holiday season, and show them how loved and supported they are! Right now we want to make sure they are well fed, and we also want to give Michelle much-needed opportunities to rest, relax, and heal...after the years of tender caregiving and support she devoted to Nick. We've gathered ideas on this page that would be helpful during this difficult time: activities to keep the kids engaged, practical support with day-to-day life, and ways to both grieve and celebrate Nick's life. We chose this platform because it had a calendar, and then then we realized that it's actually kind of hard for Michelle to plan or commit to anything right now. Here's what we do know: * Child care requests usually ARE date-specific. However, many of the things like meals, errands, and home help are not date-specific. * The kiddos are pretty particular about food in general, so gift cards/venmo are usually preferred as they're the most flexible! @MichelleCheever - venmo * Other ideas for people far away: the Amazon wishlist has been updated recently (see button on this page). * If you "follow" this page by providing your email address, you'll receive the updates that we post. Thank you for showing up for this beautiful family in whatever way feels best to you. We will update this page as their needs change.

Special Notes

If ordering or cooking food, please keep in mind that Ethan is allergic to peanuts and peas.
