A few weeks ago, Lisa received devastating news at a doctor's appointment. She had not been feeling well and they were searching for the reason - which led to the test in which they discovered she had a mass in her colon. Biopsy results came back saying it was in fact cancer, and had been missed in a prior test just 6 months before this one with another doctor. Lisa has an incredible team of surgeons, oncologists, hematologist, etc. They are preparing for a massive surgery in the coming weeks where they will be removing 18 inches of her bowel as well as her appendix. Unfortunately the stage is unknown (praying that it is low!) which leaves the future uncertain in terms of what treatments she may end up needing like chemo or radiation. Post surgery she will need to stay in the hospital for up to 10 days and then she will have to recover at home. Her amazing husband is lucky enough to mainly work at home, but he will no doubt be very busy between that, caring for Lisa, and for their Diabetic pup, Dakota. We are creating this page because so many friends and family have reached out asking what they could do to help. If you are interested in signing up for a night of food or sending a gift card for Rich when Lisa is in the hospital or for both of them when she is back home, it will no doubt be an incredible help! And more than anything else, we ask that everyone PRAY HARD! While Lisa has a fight ahead of her, she is a warrior and she will beat this and come out on the other side. We have faith in that!
