On Monday, June 23, Landon was to undergo his 3rd heart procedure. However, this procedure has been postponed due to Landon testing positive for Rhinovirus. We will provide an update when the surgery is rescheduled. This procedure is referred to as the Fontan, a type of open-heart surgery for children with single ventricle heart defects. This procedure will help to improve blood flow and oxygenation. The procedure is often a staged process, with the Fontan procedure being the final stage. In preparation for Landon’s upcoming procedure, we have created a list of support activities that would allow his parents to focus on his care, until he is fully recovered.
