Sheyanne and Jonah welcomed their son Elijah a few weeks early, on 7/7, while they were traveling in Denver. He’s now in the NICU here in Durango, and Sheyanne and Jonah are staying right by his side so he can get the round-the-clock care he needs. Because Elijah had other plans, we never got to throw Sheyanne’s baby shower. But the whole point of a shower is to help a new family through this transition, so we still want to do that, just in a different way now. With feedings every 3 hours and long days at the hospital, anything we can take off their plates would mean the world. A meal dropped off, a check-in on their cats at home, a small errand run, it all helps them stay focused on Elijah.
We know everyone is dying to meet this sweet boy! We just ask for a little patience for now, please hold off on hospital visits so Elijah can keep growing strong. And more than anything, this is a season to take care of Sheyanne. Check in on her, not just the baby. She just went through a lot, and she needs love too. 💛
