Hi there! While Mick was checking his pivot fuse box last Tuesday, it art and exploded, resulting in Burns to his hands, arms, and face. He was admitted to Saint Elizabeth Burn Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, and is expected to come home tomorrow, Monday, August 3. His family, and Chuck and I, thought it would be a great idea to provide meals for a couple of weeks, Monday through Friday, after they come home until they find a new normal! We thought it would be best to deliver them anywhere between 1130 and 12 o’clock noon There will be follow up appointments, so we may have to change some meal dates, but if you feel that you can help out, please add your name to the list. Please fix meals for 2 to 3 servings, so we don’t inundate them with leftovers. Please see the special notes listed below Thank you and God’s blessings.
Mick is on a gluten-free diet, and has allergies. We would ask that you do not coat anything with flour products. Please avoid tomatoes, fish, peas, and legumes. Some suggestions might be meatloaf, made with oatmeal, roast beef, gravy can be made with cornstarch, rice, crispy bars, no bake cookies, as they are made with oatmeal, baked pork chops, baked potatoes, hamburger steak can be baked with gluten-free soups, there are nacho chips that are gluten-free, Jell-O is good, a lot of puddings have wheat flour in them. You just sometimes have to read the label! And of course, if you have any questions, you can always call me. They are so appreciative!
