Cori recently lost his beloved mom, Heather. Cori is Ryker’s best friend, and through their close friendship, Heather became someone incredibly special in our lives as well. Heather welcomed Ryker as if he were part of the family. She bonded with him over their shared love of pretty crystals and introduced Ryker to birds. She always made him feel included and valued. She brought him along on family adventures and even short trips. Those are memories he will always treasure. During this heartbreaking time, Cori showed extraordinary courage. In an unimaginable moment, he did everything he could to help his mom, bravely performing CPR and responding with strength far beyond his 13 years. His actions reflect the deep love he has for her and the kind of strong, capable young man she raised him to be. We are incredibly proud of him. Matt has been a steady and crucial presence through all of this, ensuring Cori has the support, care, and guidance he needs as they navigate this difficult season together. Their bond and strength as a family continue to shine even in the face of such profound loss. Heather had a unique way of making children feel seen, important, and loved.
