Supporting Cathy During Her Cancer Journey Dear Friends and Community, Many of you know our beloved Cathy, who has been courageously battling cancer for the past two years. Her journey began unexpectedly with an emergency room visit that led to surgery and a cancer diagnosis. Throughout radiation, chemotherapy, and rehabilitation, Cathy has faced every challenge with her characteristic smile, continuing to brighten the lives of everyone around her. Unfortunately, the cancer has returned, accompanied by additional health challenges that require hospice care at home. We are all heartbroken. Current Situation Cathy is now receiving round-the-clock care from Margaret and her mother, Esther. They have been primarily providing continuous, loving support and care every single day. While their dedication is extraordinary, the demanding nature of caregiving means they have little time for themselves or other necessities. How You Can Help Many of you have generously offered to help, and your support would make a meaningful difference for Cathy and her caregivers. Here are the most helpful ways to contribute: Meals & Food Support: Prepared meals for the household Restaurant gift cards for easy meal solutions Grocery store gift cards for essential supplies Companionship: Spending time with Cathy to provide social connection Offering Margaret and Esther brief respites to rest and recharge loving words and messages. Any support you can provide will not only comfort Cathy but also give Margaret and Esther a small moment to care for themselves while continuing their caregiving. Thank You Your kindness and support during this challenging time mean the world to Cathy, Margaret, Esther, and all of us who love them. Every gesture, large or small, makes a real difference. With heartfelt gratitude, Barb (The friend who believes in nagging and asking for help on behalf of all of us)
