Postpartum meal train : Welcome Baby!

    Tulsa, OK

    Story

Hello friends and family, Thank you so much for supporting us during this special (and exhausting!) time. We have decided to organize a postpartum meal train for those that wish to participate, we’re so grateful for any meals, snacks, or grocery drop-offs you can provide — it truly makes a world of difference! We’re trying to focus on nutrient-rich, whole foods to support healing, energy, and milk production. If you’re planning on cooking or bringing something, here are a few ideas, preferences and guidelines to keep in mind: ✅ If possible: •Lean proteins: grilled or baked chicken breast, black beans, eggs •Vegetables: Fresh, baked & any kind •Complex carbs: sweet potatoes, brown rice, quinoa, sourdough •Healthy fats: olive oil, avocado, real butter, coconut oil •Easy-to-grab snacks: cheese sticks, fruit, beef jerky, crackers •Hydrating options: herbal teas, coconut water, broth-based soups Bonus points for meals that are easy to reheat or freeze! Bonus points for Organic! Some special sweet treat ideas for the whole family include things like Cookies, brownies, ice cream, & popsicles ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ❌ Please avoid: No artificial food dyes (Example: Red40) No seed oils like canola, soybean, sunflower, safflower, corn, palm etc. No shellfish, peanut butter or pork please 🙏🏻 Preferably no highly processed foods or anything with lots of additives/preservatives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you again for your care and love, your support means everything to us right now 💛 With gratitude, Rhiannon, Dustin & Big Brother Lochlan

    Special Notes

🍼 A Few Gentle Visit Guidelines 💛 •We’re happy to have visitors during this special (and wild!) time — we just ask for a little understanding and care: •Please give us a heads up before coming by, no surprise visits. We want to make sure we are awake and to make sure we don't have too many people coming over at once (our living room is not very big) •Please don't expect our home to be Pinterest perfect and spotless 😂 with a newborn, a toddler, and pets in the mix, things are going to get a bit chaotic! •Short visits are best for now — everyone is going to be trying to adjust as a new family of four and sleep is going to be limited, so we appreciate quick hellos and warm support. •Before holding baby please wash hands, and please wait for us to offer when it comes to holding the new baby, we know everyone is excited but if we just got them to finally sleep we kinda want them to stay sleep for at least a little bit 😆 •If you’re feeling under the weather, have been around sick people, or think you might be coming down with something, please reschedule for another day. During this precious time of bonding and healing our family just can't afford to get sick. We love you, and we’ll love you just as much a few days later! •No kissing the baby, please — not on hands, face, head or anywhere. Period. Some might think that this is dramatic but no baby has a fully functioning immune system when born, so their risk of catching a serious infection or disease is much higher and can be deadly. Thank you for embracing the mess and the magic with us, we appreciate your love and support more than words can say 💛
