Welcome Home Baby Alejandro 💙

Story

It’s Our Turn to Show Up for Arabelis Our dear friend Arabelis has welcomed her beautiful baby boy, Alejandro, into the world! Momma and baby are both healthy and doing well, and we are so grateful. Alejandro’s arrival came by C-section, which means that while Arabelis is adjusting to life with her sweet newborn, she is also recovering from major abdominal surgery. As a single mom, she will face some extra challenges in the first several weeks, and this is a time when having a village around her can make an incredible difference. If you know Arabelis, you know that she is the person who shows up for everyone else. She gives her time, her energy, her kindness, and her support so freely to the people around her. Now it’s our turn to show up for her. We’ve created this page to help take some of the everyday responsibilities off Arabelis’s plate so she can focus on what matters most right now: healing, resting, bonding with Alejandro, and settling into their new life together. The most helpful ways to support her right now are providing meals, helping with grocery shopping or errands, and lending a hand with household chores and other everyday tasks. Even something small can make a big difference during these first few weeks. Please consider signing up for a meal, an errand, or another way to help. With the support of friends, family, and this wonderful community, we can give Arabelis the time and space she needs to recover safely and enjoy these precious first days with Alejandro. Arabelis has been part of the village for so many of us. Now let’s show her just how beautifully a village can come together for her. 💙 Welcome to the world, Alejandro — you are already so very loved!

Special Notes

Thank you so much for helping care for Arabelis and baby Alejandro during these first few weeks! Even the smallest gesture will help make her recovery a little easier. Meals: Since meals will primarily be for Arabelis, please keep portions small — just a small serving rather than a large family-sized meal. Leftovers for the next day are always welcome! Arabelis does not like mushrooms or raw onions. Cooked onions are perfectly fine. Meal delivery gift cards are also incredibly helpful! DoorDash, Uber Eats, or similar gift cards give Arabelis the flexibility to order what she needs when she needs it most. Errands & Household Help: Sometimes the most helpful gift is simply taking one thing off a new mom’s to-do list. Things that would be especially appreciated include: - Light housekeeping - Washing bottles and dishes - Trader Joe’s shopping or grocery runs - Pharmacy pickups - Rides to medical appointments A Very Important Note About Visiting: We know everyone is excited to meet Alejandro and check in on Momma! Please coordinate with Arabelis before visiting and be mindful that she is recovering from major surgery and needs plenty of time to rest. Most importantly, please DO NOT visit if you are sick, have recently been sick, or are feeling even slightly under the weather. If you have a cough, sore throat, congestion, runny nose, fever, stomach symptoms, or feel like you may be coming down with something, please postpone your visit. Alejandro is brand new to the world, and keeping both him and his recovering mom healthy is our priority. There will be plenty of time for cuddles and visits once you are feeling completely well. 💙 Most importantly, no gesture is too small. A meal dropped at the door, a quick grocery run, or picking up a prescription can give Arabelis a little more time to rest, heal, and enjoy her new baby. Thank you for being part of Arabelis and Alejandro’s village. 💙
